Nutrition Expert Rose Joins Edelman

Sylvia Rowe, former president and chief executive of the International Food Information Council and IFIC Foundation, is joining Edelman as U.S. and global strategic consultant for food issues and policy.

CHICAGO—Sylvia Rowe, former president and chief executive of the International Food Information Council and IFIC Foundation, is joining Edelman as U.S. and global strategic consultant for food issues and policy. She will work with Edelman teams worldwide to provide expert counsel in the areas of nutrition policy, nutrition marketing, functional foods, product vision and development as well as food safety, nutrition issues and management and risk communication.

Rowe has worked with both U.S.-based and international leaders in industry, government and health organizations and serves regularly as a speaker and panelist at nutrition and food safety conferences and meetings in the U.S. and around the world.

In addition to her role at Edelman, Rowe is president of SR Strategy, a consulting firm in Washington D.C., and serves as adjunct professor at the Tufts University Friedman School of Nutrition Science & Policy and at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
