Ogilvy Adds Three to D.C. Leadership Team

Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide has hired Washington public affairs veteran Rory Davenport as senior vice president of public affairs. Davenport was most recently a managing director at Qorvis Communications.

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide has hired Washington public affairs veteran Rory Davenport as senior vice president of public affairs. Davenport was most recently a managing director at Qorvis Communications and earlier held senior positions with Hill & Knowlton, Edelman and Fleishman-Hillard.

He has worked on high profile issues, including antitrust, international trade, market access, privacy, telecommunications deregulation, utility deregulation and healthcare reform for clients such as AT&T (both the former AT&T and SBC), ExxonMobil, FujiFilm, Microsoft, PBS, Pfizer (then Warner Lambert), the Republic of Chile and Wal-Mart.

Greg Johnston joins as senior vice president and group creative director and led the Ogilvy PR effort to win the advertising and communications campaign for a prominent Washington-based trade association. And Sean O’Sullivan has been named vice president in the social marketing practice. He will be working on a major pharmaceutical account. Most recently, he was at Matthews Media Group managing communications, advertising and media relations around clinical trial recruitment for a number of pharmaceutical clients.
