NEW YORK, March 25—Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide has named Robert Mathias, managing director and head of the firm’s Washington office, replacing Steven Dahllof, who was named managing director and head of creative strategies.

Mathias, who has been with the firm for eight years, moved to the West Coast two years ago to serve as managing director and head of Ogilvy PR’s San Francisco office. According to Marcia Silverman, president of the Americas region for Ogilvy, “Rob’s detailed understanding of the PR profession, combined with his first-hand knowledge of how this city works, makes him the ideal person to lead our Washington office. I am delighted that he is returning home.”

In his new role, Dahllof will be responsible for maximizing Ogilvy PR’s creative output for both existing clients and in pursuit of new business. A 14-year veteran of the firm, his new responsibilities include overseeing the agency’s award-winning creative group, building creative resources throughout the network and overseeing the firm’s most significant new business efforts.
