P&G's Shweta Shukla Expands Asia-Pacific Comms Role

Procter & Gamble comms exec Shweta Shukla, who moved from India to Singapore last year, has expanded her remit further.

SINGAPORE—Procter & Gamble comms exec Shweta Shukla, who moved from India to Singapore last year, has expanded her remit further to cover the company's entire beauty portfolio.

Shukla was previously associate director and function head for P&G India's external relations. She has since been named associate director for communications at P&G Asia, overseeing beauty care, hair care and color.

The new role means that Shukla now has communications responsibility for 10 markets across ASEAN, India, Australia, Japan and Korea, and 10 brands: Pantene, Head & Shoulders, Wella, Vidal Sassoon, Herbal Essences, Rejoice, Nice n Easy, Olay, Safeguard, Old Spice.

Overseeing a team of 10, Shukla reports to Nayantara Bali, P&G VP of beauty care, hair care and color. The 14-year P&G veteran is charged with overseeing  PR strategy and delivery; issues and crisis management; and executive and employee communications.
