Parnell Will Help StevensGouldPincus Expand to DC Area

Veteran public relations consultant and communications executive Larry Parnell has joined StevensGouldPincus, a merger and management consulting firm to the communications industry, as senior associate.

NEW YORK—Veteran public relations consultant and communications executive Larry Parnell has joined StevensGouldPincus, a merger and management consulting firm to the communications industry, as senior associate. Parnell will continue to serve in his existing role as a partner in Beacon Advisors, a strategic corporate, investor relations and crisis communication consulting firm.

Parnell will help SGP expand its reach in the Washington, D.C. marketplace as well as in Canada, where he has recent agency and corporate experience. He joins SGP partners Art Stevens, Rick Gould, Ted Pincus and Mike Muraszko plus other Senior Associates Barbara Burns, Jennifer Casani and Syd Lilly.

Prior to opening a D.C. office of Beacon Advisors, Parnell was most recently vice president and group leader of the corporate communications practice at Hill and Knowlton Canada. He came to H&K from Barrick Gold Corporation, headquartered in Toronto, where he was senior vice president, corporate relations. He was previously director of global public relations at Ernst & Young and has worked at GTE, People’s Bank of Connecticut, Ketchum, Gavin Andersen and Manning Selvage & Lee.
