Carmichael Lynch Spong has promoted Brittini Nelemans to senior associate; plus new people in new roles at Strategic Communications Group, Landis+Gyr, and Tara Ink.

MINNEAPOLISCarmichael Lynch Spong has promoted Brittini Nelemans to senior associate. Nelemans works in the firm’s Minneapolis office and will continue to play an integral role on clients Martek Biosciences and Maytag. She joined the firm as an intern in June 2006. Prior to joining Carmichael Lynch Spong, Nelemans was a public relations intern for General Mills where she helped with PR programs for General Mills cereal brands.


SILVER SPRING, MDStrategic Communications Group has promoted Shany Seawright to managing director. Seawright joined Strategic in 2004 with agency experience in the Atlanta and Washington, D.C., markets, working for firms including Hill & Knowlton, GCI Group and Merritt Group. As managing director, Shany will continue to oversee her clients with the goal of expanding her portfolio of business at Strategic. Her current client engagements include British Telecom, Integral Systems, Microspace Communications and Epok.


NEW YORK—Landis+Gyr Holdings, a leader in energy management, has hired Stan March as senior vice president of corporate communications. March joins from STMicroelectronics, where he served as group vice president of investor relations. In his new role, he has overall responsibility for the development and implementation of Landis+Gyr's global corporate communications strategy and reports to Cameron O'Reilly, CEO of Landis+Gyr Holdings.


MIAMI BEACH, FL—TARA, Ink., a boutique public relations agency with offices in Miami Beach and Los Angeles, has added Leon Nieuwoudt to work in new business development for the firm’s hospitality, entertainment and corporate division.
