NEW YORK, August 9—Guggenheim.com, described as “the first ever global website devoted to culture,” has selected PepperCom to handle public relations. The site, which will debut in September, is an alliance between the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation, which has museums in New York, Venice, Bilbao and Berlin; The State Hermitage Museum (St. Petersburg); The Albertina and The Kunsthistorisches Museum (Vienna) and the Zentrum fur Kunst und Medientechnologie (Karlsruhe,Germany).

Guggenheim.com will feature cultural news, exhibits and travel info and expects to generate revenues from subscriptions, advertising, sponsorships, syndication and e-commerce. It is being financed by GE Equity, Softbank Venture Capital and Pequot Private Equity.

Guggenheim.com is one of a series of recent wins for PepperCom, representing a total of more than $750,000 in new business. Other additions include Concadia Solutions, a joint venture of Accenture and Sony Electronics; e-Media, an integrated streaming solutions provider; Oven, a next generation website developer; branding specialist Pam Murtaugh & Company; and Thomas Regional, which connects industrial buyers and sellers in local markets across the country.

According to managing partner Steve Cody, “PepperCom continues to grow strategically, even in this soft economy. Our ability to continually attract  new clients speaks to the strength of our philosophy—going beyond traditional public relations by developing unique and sustainable positioning statements and significant ‘win-win’ partnerships.”
