LOS ANGELES—Weber Shandwick has named Chris Perry general manager of the company’s Southern California operations. Perry, most recently executive vice president in Weber Shandwick’s Detroit office, will be based in Los Angeles. He assumes the role vacated by Rod Clayton, who was recently named head of the firm’s issues and crisis management group in London.
In the Detroit office, Perry was the client relationship leader for the General Motors account. He will now oversee the company’s Southern California operations and continue in his role as CRL for General Motors. Perry will report to Ken Luce, president of Weber Shandwick California and Southwest.
Previously, Perry was vice president with Edelman Worldwide, where he served as one of the founding members of the company’s business-to-business marketing practice.
