LOS ANGELES—Porter Novelli Convergence Group has launched a new privacy program, a tool designed to help technology companies develop credible positioning on the increasingly controversial privacy issue and communicate effectively with employees, customers, partners, vendors, media, analysts and government.

“For companies conducting business online, developing a responsible privacy policy is only the first step,” says PNCG senior vice president Warren Egnal, who leads the privacy initiative from PNCG’s Los Angeles office. “The more challenging job is to communicate their privacy commitment to each target audience.”
The process begins with a strategic process to define positioning and privacy-messages, analyze the competitive and legislative landscape and develop a communications plan. PNCG then  the client across a range of disciplines, from employee communications to media and analyst relations.
