LOS ANGELES—Edelman has hired Gene Wise, a political and branding consultant, as a senior vice president in its public affairs and issues management practice in Los Angeles.
Wise previously wrote and directed television and radio advertising as part of a team working on some of California’s most important ballot measures including: Yes on Proposition 39, the statewide ballot measure lowering passage of local school bond measures from two-thirds to fifty-five percent; No On Propositions 30 & 31, the statewide ballot measure to stop third-party lawsuits; and Yes on Proposition 5, the Indian Self-Reliance Initiative.
Other political clients have included New York Governor George Pataki, former New York Senator Alfonse D’Amato, former New Jersey Governor Christie Whitman, and Ohio Secretary of State (and current Governor) Bob Taft.
NEW YORK—Edelman has named Brooke Greenwald vice president of technology and business development for its Eastern Region. Greenwald will work with the New York technology practice to help grow Edelman’s relationships in the Eastern Region and to develop new marketing initiatives.
Greenwald, a former Washington, D.C.-based journalist and managing director at Cylix Communications, has developed corporate and business-to-business marketing programs for clients such as ECI Telecom, Elcoteq, Prosodie Interactive and CommuniTech.
