NEW YORK—Porter Novelli has named Michael Goldberg as senior partner and global chief marketing officer. He has most recently been serving as executive vice president and CMO of Zimmerman Advertising, responsible for the agency’s diversification and growth.

At Porter Novelli, Goldberg will lead business development and marketing, helping the agency to tell its story more effectively both inside and out. His focus will be to work side-by-side with teams to develop new agency relationships; lead and advise new business efforts; position the firm for consideration; and advocate for the agency brand to strengthen culture and connections across the network.

Goldberg will be based at Porter Novelli’s headquarters in New York and will report to global chief executive Gary Stockman and will join the agency’s executive committee.
Prior to joining Zimmerman, he served as CEO of Harris Drury Cohen. Goldberg also toured in the international group, Up With People.
