CHICAGO—The Alzheimer’s Association, a leader in Alzheimer’s research and support, has awarded its advertising and public relations accounts to Rapp Collins Worldwide and Porter Novelli International, and retained Changing Our World for philanthropic services and fundraising support. The three Omnicom Group agencies will work together to provide the Alzheimer’s Association with an integrated solution for its first-ever branding campaign.
The selection of Rapp Collins, Porter Novelli and Changing Our World is part of the Association’s strategic plan to unite the entire organization—national office and chapters—under one vision and mission.
The organization’s strategic plan has four goals:
· Accelerate the progress in Alzheimer research by increasing commitment at the national and local levels;
· Improve the quality of Alzheimer care, support, and services across all communities and increase the number of opportunities for individuals to secure support and make informed decisions about care and services;
· Increase awareness of the Alzheimer’s epidemic; mobilize resources for public understanding, research, and care; and position the Association as the leading source of information and assistance; and
· Build organizational capability throughout the Association to increase fundraising and ensure the most effective and efficient foundation for carrying out the mission.
“We’re excited that Omnicom is directing its resources in a strategic, integrated program to communicate our world leadership position, “ says Sheldon Goldberg, president and CEO of the Alzheimer’s Association. “We look forward to communicating our new brand with one vision, one voice in a way that resonates with our constituencies.”
