POWAY, CA—Gateway this week announced new responsibilities for several senior executives, including senior vice president of corporate communications Brad Shaw, who has been named senior vice president for marketing. The move follows Gateway’s recent acquisition of eMachines.

In his new role, he will be responsible for retail, consumer, professional and brand marketing functions, as well as corporate and employee communications.

“This strong, seasoned senior management team from both Gateway and eMachines has substantial experience and a track record of success,” says Wayne Inouye, president and chief executive officer. “It brings together the right mix of talents, skills and passion that Gateway needs to achieve our ambitious objectives and I look forward to working with this team to do that.”

Prior to joining Gateway, Shaw served at PepsiCo in a number of roles, including director of worldwide public relations, leading all brand publicity activity. He also held senior positions at Ketchum Public Relations in New York.
