NEW YORK, October 11—PR21 continued its transformation into a corporate and public affairs firm this week with the addition of Jon Goldberg, a veteran of the corporate affairs practice at sister company Edelman Public Relations Worldwide, as executive vice president director of corporate affairs and crisis management. He will work on corporate reputation management, issues and crisis management, and litigation and dispute communications.

His appointment comes just a week after Robert Hubbell, former head of communications at Arthur Andersen, was named president of the firm.

“In addition to being one of the PR industry’s savviest crisis counselors, Jon brings to PR 21 a tremendous breadth and depth of experience in corporate positioning and reputation management for organizations across countless industries and geographies,” says Hubbell. “These highly sought-after capabilities represent a natural complement to PR 21’s recognized strengths in the areas of healthcare,
consumer marketing, technology and financial relations.”

Goldberg was executive VP and managing director of Edelman’s New York corporate affairs practice and the firm’s national director of issues and crisis management. He counseled companies
such as Ericsson, New York Life, CIGNA, American Home Products, Whitehall-Robins, Johnson & Johnson Vision Care and Pearson Publishing.

Previously, Goldberg was a member of the Brouillard Communications unit of the J. Walter Thompson Company in New York, and manager of media services for The Prudential Insurance Company of America.
