NEW YORK, July 1—PwC Consulting has appointed two new senior executives to lead global marketing and corporate communications. Bennett Machtiger, formerly managing partner at Young & Rubicam, has been named senior vice president and chief marketing officer, and Steven DeSutter, formerly senior vice president at TurnWorks, has been named senior vice president of corporate communications.

PwC Consulting is in the process of separating from parent company PricewaterhouseCoopers, and upon completion of that transaction will change its name to Monday.

Machtiger has 20 years of experience in developing marketing strategy, brand positioning, and integrated marketing programs for multinational companies. At Y&R he was most recently the managing partner leading the agency’s marketing support for AT&T.  Prior to that, he was chief operating officer of Y&R’s business-to-business unit, Marsteller Advertising, and also led the agency’s integrated marketing efforts that helped build the Andersen Consulting brand globally.

DeSutter worked alongside Greg Brenneman, the recently appointed president and chief executive officer of PwC Consulting at TurnWorks, a private equity firm. Previously, he was senior vice president of marketing for Powerway, an Internet-based provider of supply chain and management system software. In his new role, he will manage all aspects of the company’s global corporate communications activities—including public relations and internal communications.
