LONDON—Ricoh has shifted its UK PR account to Hotwire, following a competitive review.

Hotwire takes on the mandate following a six-way pitch. The firm is charged with supporting the company’s attempts to build its reputation as a technology leader for business solutions.

Hotwire’s remit includes brand storytelling, content creation and strategic messaging development, as Ricoh aims to continue its expansion into vertical sectors. Ricoh's business products include office imaging equipment, production print solutions, document management systems and IT services.

Ricoh had previously worked with Weber Shandwick in the UK. The agency retains its role as regional PR partner across Europe, which it has held since 2011.

"We were specifically looking for a partner who could help us take Ricoh to the next level. We more than found that in Hotwire – the team’s strategic vision, values and creativity were a perfect match for us," said Chas Moloney, marketing director at Ricoh UK.
