Rogers & Cowan Picks Up LPGA Account

The Ladies Professional Golf Association has named Rogers Cowan|Weber Shandwick, Entertainment Marketing as its agency of record for public relations.

LOS ANGELES—The Ladies Professional Golf Association has named Rogers Cowan|Weber Shandwick, Entertainment Marketing as its agency of record for public relations.

“Public relations is an important part of the LPGA’s new five year business plan that we unveiled earlier this year,” says Karen Durkin, senior vice president and chief marketing officer of the LPGA.  “Rogers Cowan|Weber Shandwick has an impressive track record with some of the biggest brands in the world, and we are pleased to be associated with them.  Their strategic and creative thinking as well as their entertainment marketing expertise will help our organization strengthen its position in the sports entertainment industry.”

The firm will provide a mix of media relations and event support, working hand-in-hand with the LPGA marketing and communications staff and LPGA commissioner Ty Votaw.
