LOS ANGELES—The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health Tobacco Control & Prevention Program has awarded The Rogers Group a two-year contract to carry out all media and communications activities for a new anti-smoking campaign designed to reach diverse communities with high smoking rates across Los Angeles County.

The anti-smoking effort will include several policy-based initiatives, social services and support for smoking cessation, as well as a high-profile, highly-targeted media campaign to reduce smoking prevalence and decrease exposure to secondhand smoke in L.A. County.

The Rogers Group will implement all targeted advertising, media relations, digital and social media activities for the campaign.

The contract marks the continuation of The Rogers Group’s 13 years of work on behalf of the L.A. County Department of Public Health’s anti-smoking program. Other anti-smoking work has included the state of Oregon, Centers for Disease Control & Prevention and the American Lung Association of California.
