PARIS—Publicis Consultants Worldwide, one of the dominant public relations firms in France and a leader in the European marketplace, has brought together the resources of Rowland Communications in New York and Publicis USA public relations staff in Dallas and Seattle to create Publicis Consultants | PR, a national network that will give the firm a mainstream public relations presence in the United States. Publicis Consultants—owned by French communications powerhouse Publicis Groupe—has operated in the U.S. through public affairs specialists Winner & Associates and Johnson & Associates, but did not previously have a branded public relations presence in the world’s largest PR market. It now joins sister agencies Manning Selvage & Lee and Freud Communications in offering public relations services on both sides of the Atlantic. The new operation will have expertise in healthcare and beauty, food and nutrition, lifestyle and business-to-business marketing, with offices in Dallas, New York and Seattle. The network will also be able to offer is word of mouth and influencer communications expertise, developed at the revived Rowland Communications over the past couple of years. Ann Moravick, formerly chief executive officer of Rowland Communications, has been named chief executive officer of Publicis Consultants | PR in the U.S. Steve Bryant, president of the Seattle office and Sheri Smith, president of the Dallas office, will join Moravick on her management team. “We strive to create a true partnership of strategic advisors who help clients define their identity, develop their image, defend their reputation and deepen their relationships with all their stakeholders,” says Eric Giuily, chief executive officer of Publicis Consultants Worldwide. “The creation of Publicis Consultants PR furthers this goal by forging a team who can better deliver on the promise of brand advocacy and public relations within a holistic setting.” The Publicis Consultants PR U.S. team represents clients such as Nestlé and sanofi-aventis. The Seattle office has extensive experience in food and nutrition, and operates a Culinary Center with consumer and foodservice test kitchens. The Dallas office has strong expertise in lifestyle marketing to women. The New York team has experience in healthcare and business-to-business communications. “Coming together as one firm solidifies our shared expertise,” says Moravick. “Our focus is on companies, brands and causes that make lives better. We believe that our core strength is in engaging brand advocates and communicating with them where, when and how they want to be reached.” Publicis Consultants | PR will partner with all Publicis Groupe sister agencies, including the corporate communications and public affairs teams of Publicis Consultants Worldwide, and other communications disciplines at the networks of Publicis, Saatchi & Saatchi, and Leo Burnett, Publicis Health Care Communications Group and elsewhere. The Publicis Consultants team will also collaborate as appropriate with MS&L and Freud. Publicis Consultants now offers a network of 51 agencies in 22 countries, with 1,200 employees worldwide.
