Travel Alberta International, the destination marketing organization for the province of Alberta, has selected Ruder Finn as its agency of record for the U.S. The firm’s public relations efforts will focus on positioning Alberta as a highly sought-after destination for U.S. travelers.

NEW YORK—Travel Alberta International, the destination marketing organization for the province of Alberta, has selected Ruder Finn as its agency of record for the U.S. The firm’s public relations efforts will focus on positioning Alberta as a highly sought-after destination for U.S. travelers.

The Ruder Finn team will initially work to enhance the public relations presence of the Canadian province in the New York market by working with print and electronic media to promote traveling to Alberta.

“New York is the media capital of the United States, Alberta’s largest international tourism market. With new direct air access to Calgary, a public relations firm of Ruder Finn’s stature is a competitive advantage,” says Derek Coke-Kerr, managing director of Travel Alberta.

Ruder Finn will implement a comprehensive public relations plan designed to educate the American media and consumer about the diversity of Alberta, a region positioned as “Canada’s Rocky Mountain Playground.” The agency will eradicate misperceptions, enlighten minds and motivate Americans to travel to Alberta.
