Sacramento Veteran Black Joins Edelman

Christi Black, formerly founder and principal of Deen+Black, is joining the Sacramento office of Edelman as executive vice president.

SACRAMENTO—Christi Black, formerly founder and principal of Deen+Black, is joining the Sacramento office of Edelman as executive vice president, bringing 25 years of public relations, public affairs, and social marketing expertise.

Black sold her firm to Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide in 2001, and previously served as a managing director for Ogilvy in California, providing counsel to clients including private foundations, trade associations, government agencies and corporations. She has particular expertise in health, infrastructure and water policy, environmental sustainability and community development.

Also joining Edelman in Sacramento is Josh Morgan, as a vice president in the firm’s digital practice. Morgan was a co-founder of the Sacramento Social Media Club and returns to Edelman after five years as the managing partner at Morgan/Dorado Public Relations. Previously, Morgan worked in-house at Apple where he was on the team that helped launch the original iPod.
