SAN FRANCISCO, June 11—Graham & Associates, one of the fastest growing independent public relations firms in San Francisco, has launched Plexus, a network of independent firms that includes members in the U.K., France, Sweden and Italy.

Agency founder Lydia Graham says the network is the culmination of months of planning, identifying and meeting with like-minded consultancies who wish to remain independent, yet realize the opportunities of an international reach. The founding members include: Stewart-Muir Communications
in the U.K., Eliotrope in France, Move PR in Sweden, and pdc in Italy.

Says Graham, “When we decided to form Plexus, we had already been working with Stewart-Muir for several years on various accounts. Plexus is a quantum leap forward in terms of possibilities for an international network of top, hand-picked independent agencies. A lot of networks are huge and impersonal. Plexus is a very select group of agencies: we all know each other and work well together.”

Plexus offers an on-the-ground team in each region for companies needing globally integrated campaigns or locally based special projects. Based on a client’s location and PR needs, one agency coordinates with the partner agencies campaign planning and execution. The network holds monthly conference calls and bi-annual meetings to exchange business information and discuss market changes. The first Plexus PR Summit was held in London, England in April 2002.

Graham & Associates is a full-service public relations firm with expertise in information technology, financial services, lifestyle & hospitality, and environmental and social ventures.
