NEW YORK—Sloane & Company has hired Monica Huang as vice president of investor relations. She will direct investor relations and financial communications programs for Sloane & Company’s clients in the U.S. and Europe.

Huang joins from the equities division of Credit Suisse First Boston, where she worked for six years and was most recently a vice president in the institutional sales organization.

According to CEO and founder Elliot Sloane, Huang’s “extensive experience in working with and covering some of the largest institutional investors in the country provides her with direct insight into the investment process and the importance of financial communications.

“At CSFB, Monica worked actively with company management teams to target and organize investor meetings for deal and non-deal road shows and she developed and fostered relationships between sell side and buy side analysts.  But most important, Monica brings the financial acumen, intelligence and common sense necessary to be a sound investor relations counselor.”

Prior to joining CSFB, Ms. Huang worked in the debt capital markets group at Lehman Brothers, working with issuers regarding financing markets and issuance opportunities for short and intermediate debt products.
