Suttle to Lead Communications at BAE Systems

BAE Systems has appointed John Suttle as senior vice president of corporate communications. Suttle joins the BAE Systems leadership team reporting directly to Linda Hudson, president and CEO of BAE Systems, and will lead communications for the defense and aerospace company.

ARLINGTON, VA—BAE Systems has appointed John Suttle as senior vice president of corporate communications.  

 

Suttle joins the BAE Systems leadership team reporting directly to Linda Hudson, president and CEO of BAE Systems,  and will lead communications for the defense and aerospace company, which employs nearly 50,000 employees across more than 130 sites around the world.

Suttle’s experience in communications leadership positions spans more than 20 years. He joined BAE Systems in May 2007, and most recently served as vice president of communications for BAE Systems Land & Armaments operating group.

 

Prior to BAE Systems, Suttle held the position of senior director, communications for General Dynamics armament and technical products after retiring from the Army as a lieutenant colonel. During his military service, Suttle was editor in chief of the Army’s flagship publication Soldiers Magazine, served as military assistant for public affairs to the Secretary of the Army, and was deputy director of Army Public Affairs Marketing. His military decorations include the Legion of Merit and the Bronze Star.
