LONDON—Text 100 has appointed Kirsty Leighton as its new managing director for the U.K. and Ireland. Leighton was previously global head of client development at Waggener Edstrom, based in London. Leighton’s appointment completes a comprehensive revamp of Text 100’s senior leadership that also includes the addition of Jonathan Brayshaw as director for the firm’s enterprise IT business unit; Maria Potter as maternity cover director for the digital lifestyle and corporate business units; and Dan Baxter, promoted to deputy managing director, responsible for the agency’s Semiconductor & Industrial business units.

Each member of the new team has extensive experience supporting regional or global mandates for technology and non-technology organizations.  The agency currently provides multiple market support for 78 percent of clients in London, with more than one-third of its revenue derived beyond the technology industry. Its U.K. clients include Skype, SanDisk, IBM and NXP.

At Waggener Edstrom Leighton helped the agency grow its technology client roster, as well as assisting with the diversification into the consumer, corporate, healthcare and social innovation sectors. She has more than 16 years of public relations experience, including positions at Edelman Public Relations Worldwide and the former Weber Group Europe.

Brayshaw brings 13 years of public relations and journalism experience. He was previously an associate director for Weber Shandwick’s technology division in London and has also held senior positions at Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide and Hoffman Europe. Potter has held senior in-house roles at Sony and Coca-Cola and was a board director at Text 100’s consumer specialist sister agency, Lexis Public Relations.
