SAN FRANCISCO—Text 100 Public Relations has been selected as corporate and technology public relations agency of record in North America for Cisco, a leader in networking that transforms how people connect, communicate and collaborate. Text 100 replaces incumbent Weber Shandwick, which had held the account since late in 2003.
Cisco has hired Text 100 to build awareness and understanding of the increasingly important role networks play in enabling businesses, communities, schools, governments and families to collaborate, communicate and share information. Best known for providing the technology that enabled the expansion of the Internet and corporate networks, Cisco has begun to expand its business into more consumer-facing markets, an important part of Text 100’s assignment.
