NEW YORK and LONDON—The Holmes Report has issued its Call for Entries for the 2014 SABRE Awards competition in both the Americas and EMEA regions—and has announced that for the first time, the SABRE Awards will be completely paperless in both regions.
The SABRE Awards recognize Superior Achievement in Reputation Branding & Engagement. The Americas region includes work carried out in the US, Canada and Latin America; the EMEA region focuses on work conducted in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
The awards cover a wide range of categories, including practice areas from consumer marketing to employee engagement to public affairs, and industries from automotive to healthcare to technology. Judges are plucked from agencies large and small, as well as from major corporations in both regions.
The Americas region SABREs will be paperless for the first time, following the introduction of digital entries in Asia and EMEA in recent years.
“There are all kinds of benefits to a paperless entry system,” says Paul Holmes, editor of The Holmes Report and chairman of the SABRE Awards judges. “It’s a good deal easier and less time-consuming to upload a few key documents than it is to put together the elaborate three-inch binders awards competitions have traditionally used. Entrants will no longer need to spend hundreds of additional dollars on shipping. Judges much prefer being able to view the summaries and the supporting materials online. And it’s obviously a good deal friendlier in terms of the environment.”
The early deadline for both awards is Friday December 20, 2013. However, late entries (including a late fee) will be accepted until Monday January 27, 2014.
