PRAGUE—Tickets are now available for The Holmes Report’s Think Tank Live conference in Prague on May 18. The conference brings together superstars from the advertising and public relations agency businesses, along with senior corporate communications and marketing executives, to discuss The Changing Relationship Between Marketing and Public Relations. According to Holmes Report editor Paul Holmes, who will chair the conference: “Social media has caused a seismic change in the way companies must approach their communications. The new media landscape has led to a more central role for PR in marketing communications due to the increased importance of transparency, authenticity, dialogue and engagement. At the same time, the lines between corporate reputation and brand image are blurring as stakeholders find new ways to communicate with each other on topics ranging from customer service to CSR. “Our first Think Tank Live event will bring together people who are driving and playing a central role in this change to discuss what it means for our profession.” Speakers at the event include: · Harris Diamond, CEO of Weber Shandwick Worldwide, the world’s largest public relations firm, and of Interpublic’s Constituency Management Group, which includes sports marketing, corporate identity and experiential marketing firms; · Richard Edelman, president and CEO of Edelman, the world’s largest independent public relations firm; · TJ Higgins, group vice president and regional lead for developed markets for Merck Consumer Care and previously led marketing for the company’s US businesses; · Andre Manning, vice president and global head of corporate communications for Philips, the giant healthcare, lighting and consumer products company. · Miles Young, chief executive of Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide, one of the world’s largest advertising, digitial, direct, marketing and public relations agencies. Tickets to the event are being offered free of charge to individuals attending The Holmes Report’s EMEA region SABRE Awards dinner, which will be held at Prague Castle on the evening of May 18.
