Timex Group Hires Walas as SVP, Communications and CSR

Watchmaker Timex Group has named Kathleen Walas as senior vice president, corporate communications and corporate social responsibility. Walas report directly to Timex Group president and chief executive Hans-Kristian Hoejsgaard.

MIDDLEBURY, CT—Watchmaker Timex Group has named Kathleen Walas as senior vice president, corporate communications and corporate social responsibility. Walas report directly to Timex Group president and chief executive Hans-Kristian Hoejsgaard and will oversee Timex Group corporate communications, public relations, corporate branding worldwide, employee communications and lead its corporate social responsibility initiatives.

 

Her role also includes philanthropic leadership for the Timexpo Museum and all other charitable activities and she will coordinate brand programs globally to increase awareness and enhance the reputation of the Timex Group family of brands.                

 

Walas joins Timex Group from Jaks Cove, a consulting practice she founded, which specialized in business development programs rooted in communications, branding, social responsibility and other marketing disciplines. Prior to that, she served as president of the Avon Foundation while also serving as the first-ever corporate social responsibility officer at Avon Products.
