MALDEN, MA—Topaz Partners, founded last year by former Miller Shandwick executive Tony Sapienza, has been engaged by Corporate Communications Broadcast Network, which builds, manages and hosts the investor relations sections of Web sites for more than 2,500 public companies and hosts live and archived quarterly conference calls for more than 3,000 corporations each quarter.

“Topaz Partners provides the experience, perspective, skill set and focus CCBN was looking for in an agency as we move ahead with new and very aggressive public relations plans for 2003,” said CCBN public relations manager Cindy Sullivan. “It will help us reach out to all of our audiences—clients, prospects, employees, media and analysts—with latest developments on the services we offer both corporate customers and the investment community.”

The Massachusetts Software & Internet Council, a leading advocate for the state’s technology industry, has named Topaz Partners as the organization’s public relations agency. Topaz will handle media relations strategy and support and will provide additional PR assistance for events and initiatives sponsored by the Council.

“Members of the Topaz Partners team have a long history of involvement in our technology community, and with The Massachusetts Software & Internet Council in particular, making them an ideal choice to provide PR counsel and support for our organization,” said Council president Joyce Plotkin.
