NEW YORK—Corporate and financial communications firm The Torrenzano Group, and Arnold Consulting Group, which advises management on  reputation risk, are joining forces to offer a range of services  to“help organizations take control of how they are perceived.

Arnold Consulting, headed by veteran consultant James Armold will offer public relations and communications advisory services related to strategy (addressing reputational issues), structure (organizational design), and systems (best-in-class tools to manage operations including resource allocation, decision making, intellectual capital, measurement and evaluation and return on investment). The two firms will share offices, staff, resources and senior counselors.

Arnold counseled Torrenzano Group senior managing director and CEO Rich Torrenzano during the latter’s time at The New York Stock Exchange. Arnold was then president of Chester Burger & Co. and later of Arnold Consulting, a management consulting firm that specialized in corporate communications, serving more than 200 companies of the Fortune 500.

Says Arnold: “One of the most valuable assets of any organization is an intangible not on the balance sheet—its reputation. In the post-Enron era, the net positives and negatives that comprise a reputation translate into trust, credibility, market share, share of mind, access to capital and debt markets, ability to recruit and retain skilled employees, shareholder value, public policy, and ultimately management effectiveness. Identifying and assessing risks to reputation is key but how to manage and mitigate risks is of greatest importance to clients.”
