SAN DIEGO, October 5—Nuffer Smith Tucker and Stock/Alper & Associates are merging their operations to create a San Diego public relations agency with fee billings to approximately $4 million. The merged organization will operate under the Nuffer Smith Tucker name and staff from Stock/Alper will move in to NST’s offices.

“Despite the declines we have been hearing about in the PR industry over the past six months, both agencies have continued to see steady growth, and are having a great year,” says NST president Bill Trumpfheller. “We see this merger as an opportunity to bring together the two firms under one administrative structure to take advantage of the synergies we each bring to the table.”

Established in 1974, NST’s clients are primarily in the consumer products and food and agricultural arenas and include WD-40 Company, McDonald’s, Chicken of the Sea and the Dairy Council of California. Stock/Alper & Associates was established in 1985 and has a strong track record in healthcare and professional services.
