U.S. IR Firm Walek Opens Hong Kong Office

Walek & Associates, a fast-growing independent financial and corporate public relations firm headquartered in New York, is opening an office in Hong Kong to serve new and existing clients.

HONG KONG—Walek & Associates, a fast-growing independent financial and corporate public relations firm headquartered in New York, is opening an office in Hong Kong to serve new and existing clients in the firm’s core areas of expertise including capital markets, asset management, hedge funds, professional and financial services, information and financial technology.

 

“To be a player in today’s financial and economic environment, you have to be on the ground in the Asia-Pacific region,” says Thomas Walek, agency founder and President, who will spearhead the Hong Kong office initially. The firm will announce permanent staffing in December.

 

New clients in Hong Kong include Marco Polo Pure Asset Management, Abax Global Capital and London-based Hedge Fund Intelligence. They join the firm’s existing clients including Appleby, Custom House Administration, Dow Jones EMG, GFI Group, JPMorgan Funds, Man Group, Palo Alto Capital and Paulson & Co.
