SEOUL—Waggener Edstrom Worldwide has signed an exclusive affiliation agreement with Seoul-based integrated marketing and PR consultancy Shout Communications Korea. Shout Korea has been a long-term partner of the agency, and the agreement strengthens and formalizes the relationship. In addition to regional and global business development opportunities, both agencies will benefit from a joint training program, international staff exchanges and the sharing of intellectual property.

“The success of the technology industry in South Korea in recent years is remarkable and has gained global attention,” says David Ko, senior vice president and managing director of Asia Pacific for Waggener Edstrom Worldwide. “To successfully enter into this market, it was very important for us to find the right partner to provide high-quality communications consultancy and also to have a strong understanding of the sector.”

Jessica Kim, chief executive of Shout Korea, says the firm will adopt Waggener Edstrom’s Innovation Communications methodologies and extend its service offering to include corporate branding, product marketing, risk management and CEO branding. “This partnership enables us to provide a complete solution for our global clients as well as help domestic clients expand their businesses worldwide.”

Shout provides strategic PR, advertising, event management, database marketing, web management and consulting service for local and global clients.
