Waggener Edstrom Picks Up Three Healthcare Clients

Waggener Edstrom Worldwide, the global public relations firm best known for its work in the technology sector, has added three healthcare clients to its global public affairs practice: GlaxoSmithKline, Shire Ltd and the BIO IT Coalition.

WASHINGTON, D.C. —Waggener Edstrom Worldwide, the global public relations firm best known for its work in the technology sector, has added three healthcare clients to its global public affairs practice: GlaxoSmithKline, Shire Ltd and the BIO IT Coalition.

 

Pharmaceutical giant GlaxoSmithKline recently partnered with WE-PA to enhance its global trade association partnership program in nearly a dozen key global growth markets in Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America and the Middle East.

 

Shire, a global specialty biopharmaceutical company, recently established its government relations presence in Washington, D.C., and retained WE-PA to provide strategic guidance, relationship building and brand management.

 

And the BIO IT Coalition, a D.C.-based partnership comprised of members of the life science, information technology, and business communities, has expanded its work with WE-PA to promote the organizations mission to secure public and private investment in the development and delivery of new therapies and diagnostics, better patient care, and other biotechnology solutions.
