NEW YORK—Weber Shandwick has joined forces with one of the leading independent public relations firms in Israel, Rimon Cohen, and will go to market as Rimon Cohen | Weber Shandwick. The joint venture will be fully integrated into the Weber Shandwick organization, with participation in practice group and leadership activities, staff training and new business development.

“During this complex time in Israel, when the security situation is difficult and the economy is in crisis, we believe that PR plays an even more critical role,” said Roni Rimon, CEO of Rimon Cohen. “PR should be one of the main tools helping companies and organizations not only to survive, but also to look forward and continue to grow.”

Clients of the new operation include Teva Pharmaceuticals, Israel Rail, Duty Free, Manpower Group, Israel Port Authority and the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange. Services include reputation management, crisis management, litigation support, and a specialized Russian unit serving that constituency.

“For companies located in Israel and those multinationals that are looking to enhance their brands in the region, PR is a critical tool for weathering the current situation and expanding market share,” said Harris Diamond, CEO of Weber Shandwick. “We’re glad to join forces with Rimon Cohen and enhance our ability to service our clients.”
