OSLO--Weber Shandwick has signed an exclusive partnership agreement with Norwegian firm Zynk Communication & Leadership.

Corporate comms and public affairs agency Zynk is based in Oslo and was launched in 2010 by three former senior executives from Burson-Marsteller Norway. CEO Claus Sonberg previously led B-M’s Norwegian business.

Zynk specializes in advising senior executives and their organizations during complex communications challenges, including organizational change, crisis management, and corporate brand and reputation management.

Said Weber Shandwick EMEA CEO Colin Byrne: “We see Zynk as like-minded partners with similar experience, attitudes and approaches, and a rising star agency in a key European PR market. This is a major development for us in cementing our Nordics strategy.”

Adds Zynk CEO and Partner Claus Sonberg: "Having talked for some time now, we are confident we share both the same philosophy about what drives a great communications campaign and the same entrepreneurial culture."
