Weber Shandwick Gives Spanish CEO Additional Latin America Role

Miguel López-Quesada Gil will expand his role as chief executive officer of Weber Shandwick’s operations in Spain to take on the newly created position of chairman of Iberia and Latin America.

NEW YORK—Miguel López-Quesada Gil will expand his role as chief executive officer of Weber Shandwick’s operations in Spain to take on the newly created position of chairman of Iberia and Latin America.

In his new role, López-Quesada Gil will focus on business opportunities between Europe and Latin America, developing partnerships to support clients in the relevant Latin American markets. He also will continue to serve on the firm’s European leadership team.

Since October 2000, López-Quesada Gil has served as chief executive officer of Weber Shandwick in Spain, responsible for the agency’s offices in Madrid and Barcelona. Earlier, he led the Madrid office. He is a specialist in crisis communications, brand defense and issues management, working for multinational companies in the food and beverage, entertainment, healthcare, energy and technology sectors.
