Weintraub Joins ADM to Lead External Affairs

David Weintraub has joined agribusiness giant Archer Daniels Midland Company in the newly created position of director, external affairs. Weintraub joins ADM from the Chicago corporate affairs practice of Weber Shandwick.

DECATUR, IL—David Weintraub has joined agribusiness giant Archer Daniels Midland Company in the newly created position of director, external affairs. Weintraub joins ADM from the Chicago corporate affairs practice of Weber Shandwick, where he counseled clients, including ADM, on communication strategy, media relations, and issues and crisis management.

As director, external affairs, Weintraub will be responsible for managing ADM’s interaction with national and international news media and will report to Victoria Podesta, vice president of corporate communications.

Prior to joining Weber Shandwick, Weintraub served on the staffs of U.S. Commerce Secretary Donald L. Evans and U.S. Senator Wayne Allard.
