Westermann Joins A&B as Managing Director

Rainer Westermann, former corporate vice president of communications for Infineon Technologies and chief executive of Burson-Marsteller Germany, is joining A&B Communications Group in Frankfurt as managing director.

FRANKFURT AM MAIN—Rainer Westermann, former corporate vice president of communications for Infineon Technologies and chief executive of Burson-Marsteller Germany, is joining A&B Communications Group in Frankfurt as managing director of the firm’s corporate, change and crisis communications unit A&B One.

Westermann also worked in the U.S. as senior vice president of investor relations for a dual-listed international software company, and built a corporate communications and investor relations practice in Canada for Fleishman-Hillard. He will be in charge of the A&B office in Munich and will be charged with further broadening the service offering of A&B in Southern Germany.

A&B was founded in Frankfurt in 1993 as Ahrens & Behrent and is now one of the largest communications consultancies in Germany, with more than 110 employees in Frankfurt, Berlin and Munich, focused on public issues, corporate communications, capital market communications and consumer communications.
