WASHINGTON, D.C.—Widmeyer Communications has added several new clients to its growing risk and crisis communications practice. New clients include State Health Departments in New York, Delaware and Colorado, which have tapped the Consortium for Risk and Crisis Communication—of which Widmeyer is a member— to help them prepare emergency communication response and to train them on working with other organizations during a large-scale emergency, such as an influenza pandemic.

The Consortium has also recently worked with various state departments of agriculture, emergency management and homeland security, the Food and Drug Administration, the Hong Kong Department of Health, and the Environmental Protection Agency.

Additionally, Widmeyer will host a special forum on how to integrate new media as part of the operating strategy in emergency communications on May 23.
