WASHINGTON, D.C.— Widmeyer Communications has promoted Bibb Hubbard to senior vice president and managing director of the firm’s New York office. In her new role, Hubbard will oversee Widmeyer’s New York operation and lead efforts to increase its visibility in the New York market.
Hubbard currently leads Widmeyer’s New York education practice and serves a variety of clients including Channel Thirteen/WNET, Carnegie Corporation of New York, EdisonLearning and the XPRIZE Foundation. In addition, she heads up Widmeyer’s arts and culture practice and develops communication strategies for clients such as The Metropolitan Opera, Stavros Niarchos Foundation and the American Museum of Natural History.
Prior to joining Widmeyer, Hubbard was the director of Innovation America, a National Governors Association policy initiative led by former Governor Janet Napolitano (D-Az.), now Secretary of Homeland Security. Hubbard also worked for Scholastic, serving in several different leadership roles throughout her tenure including director of government relations, director of strategic marketing, director of media relations and chief of staff to the CEO & chairman.
