WINSTON-SALEM, NC—Ruth Winig has been promoted to lead the public relations practice in Mullen's Winston-Salem, N.C. office as the senior vice president of public relations and social marketing. She formerly served as senior vice president director of innovation. In her new position, Winig will set the strategic agenda for all public relations, experiential, social media and brand connectivity programs by Mullen and its marketing-to-women arm, Frank About Women.
Winig has worked on communications programs for major brands, including Procter & Gamble, John Paul Mitchell Systems, Bath & Body Works, Tehema, Just My Size, Miller Brewing Company and Max Factor. Prior to Mullen, she served as the marketing director at Reflect-True Custom Beauty, a Procter & Gamble brand; director of experiential marketing at Kose, the second largest Asian personal care company; vice president of an S.A.G.-franchised entertainment company; and served in account service at Lippe Taylor Public Relations.
Joining Mullen nearly four years ago, Winig has held several key positions throughout the agency and led several PR campaigns for Abbott Pharmaceutical Labs, Sara Lee's Endust, Bissell Home Care, Kimberly Clark and others.
