Worldcom Adds Members in Europe, Asia

The Worldcom Public Relations Group, one of the world’s largest network of independently owned public relations counseling firms, has added four new agency partners.

BANGKOK—The Worldcom Public Relations Group, one of the world’s largest network of independently owned public relations counseling firms, has added four new agency partners.

In the Asia-Pacific region, the firm added PR Plus of Hong Kong, which specializes in consumer, lifestyle and sports marketing, with clients such as ING Manchester United Cup, Macau Grand Prix, Formula 1, Subaru and Michelin; and TOCS of Tokyo, which specializes in information technology and healthcare, and works with clients such as Cirrus Logix, Oracle, Novartis, Johnson & Johnson, Glaxo Smith Kline and Pfizer.

In the Nordic region, the network has added PrimeTime Kommunikation of Copenhagen, which provides public relations services to a broad range of international and Danish companies including Bayer, Canon, Fiat, Bang & Olufsen and LEGO; and Time PR of Stockholm, which has a particular focus on the information technology, telecom and home electronics industries and works with 3Com, Sharp and Nortel, among others.

Tom Van Blarcom of TQPR in Bangkok, Thailand, who hosted the meeting, was elected the group’s new global chairman. Diego Biasi, president and general manager of Business Press in Milan, was named chair-elect.
