HONG KONG—Text 100  has appointed TT Yang as managing director for China. Currently serving as managing consultant at Text 100 Shanghai, Yang will take over management of Text 100’s Beijing and Shanghai offices as part of a new “one China” leadership strategy.

Regional director for Asia Pacific Rowan Benecke says he expects a centralized leadership strategy in China will enable Text 100 to make better decisions faster, develop shared goals for business and career planning, and improve inter-office collaboration across account teams, which will result in delivering uniform and more efficient client services.

Yang joined Text 100 in 2008 following more than a decade of public relations experience in China and Taiwan, including serving as deputy market leader for Burson-Marsteller in Shanghai, and director for Ogilvy Public Relations in Taipei.

Candice Young, current managing consultant of Text 100 Beijing, will leave the agency to pursue other opportunities after spending nearly six years working in China.
