Julie Winskie Departs Porter-Novelli

Global, North America

Arun Sudhaman 20 Jan 2012

NEW YORK--Julie Winskie is departing Porter-Novelli after 25 years with the firm.

Winskie's sudden departure comes after some upheaval at the Omincom firm, which lost key client Gillette last year, and has seen a number of staff leave over the past 12 months.

Winskie's most recent role at Porter-Novelli was president, and she was part of the global leadership triumvirate, alongside CEO Gary Stockman and global president Anthony Viceroy. Winskie was charged with heading global client relationships, which included HP, P&G and McDonald's.

A statement from the firm confirmed the departure. "Julie Winskie is leaving Porter Novelli to explore other opportunities. We wish her well and will always be grateful for her contributions in helping to shape the firm’s foundation. She leaves with us a legacy of intelligence, commitment and professionalism."

The firm has moved to bolster its senior team with two recent hires: Karen van Bergen to head New York, and Michael Goldberg as global CMO.
