Boston PR Firms Raise Money For Bombing Victims

North America

The Holmes Report 17 May 2013

BOSTON — The Boston PR community has banded together to raise money for victims in the wake of the April 19 bombings during the city's annual marathon.

Boston PRoud is being held on May 29 to raise money for the One Fund Boston, which was created the day after the bombings by Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick and Boston Mayor Thomas Menino to raise funds for families affected by the tragedy.

So far, more than 30 Boston-area PR firms have come together as co-hosts of this event. Co-hosts agree to donate between $750 and $1000 to One Fund and help drive attendees to the $20/per head Boston PRoud event.

All donations will go to directly to the One Fund Boston. Sponsors of the event include Cision, PR Newswire, Propel Marketing and Sam Whitmore Media Survey.
