LONDON—GoDaddy has extended its PR relationship with Bite as the internet company steps up investment in its global brand.

After securing GoDaddy's US PR duties earlier this year, Bite has been tasked with supporting the company's expansion in the UK and across the EMEA region.

The move comes after GoDaddy hired Stefano Maruzzi as EMEA VP, as part of a plan to build its presence in the region. After launching in the UK in 2008, the company plans to up investment in other markets. It is set to open a European customer care centre to support its ambitions.

Last year, furthermore, GoDaddy CEO Blake Irving noted that global expansion is one of his strategic goals for the company.

In particular, the Bite team will aim to evolve GoDaddy’s reputation from domain provider to partner of choice for small businesses wanting to build and improve their online digital identity.

Bite will work in close coordination with both the US and local GoDaddy teams, focusing on strategic planning, campaign management, content creation and influencer relations.

“We understand the importance of a powerful content strategy for us to succeed in EMEA and Bite’s expertise in this area will play an important role in helping us achieve our business goals,” said Susie Penner, GoDaddy’s senior director of public relations.
