Founded in 1998, Insiders is a full-service public relations firm offering reputation and brand management counsel, media analysis and government relations services, and was ranked ninth among Russian PR agencies by Direct Investment magazine in January of 2005, with a client list that includes both Russian and multinational companies in a wide range of sectors from telecoms to insurance to FMCG to transportation.
Managing partner Andrei Lapshov has experience in both the private and public sectors, have served as public relations advisor to the chairman of the board of Prodtechbank and deputy CEO of the publishing house Profile as well as deputy head of government information responsible for communications accompanying the presidential elections in Russian regions. He is supported by Julia Stonogina, the firm’s director general, who has considerable international experience; and Valentina Lysikova, chief of client services who previously worked with Weber Shandwick affiliate PRP Group and with Mikhailov&Partners.
The firm has been growing at a healthy pace over the past 12 months, and has revenues of around $700,000 adding new clients including Ukrainian vodka company Nemiroff, Alcatel, Meridian Telecom, Makheev and Lira Ceramica. Longstanding clients include MobileTeleSystems, one of the largest mobile phone operators in Russia and the CIS; Moscow City Telephone Network; and joint stock insurance company Rossiya. Major assignments included a media relations campaign on security and safety issues for Sheremetyevo international airport following two acts of terrorism aboard Russian planes; and brand marketing work for Sistema Telecom, including participation at the international trade show Svyaz-Expocomm 2005.
