Referrals Net Three New Clients for Freebairn

Atlanta-based integrated marketing firm Freebairn & Company has added three new accounts—Alexis PlaySafe, Griffin and Skylight Financial—worth an estimated $7 million in capitalized billings.

ATLANTA—Atlanta-based integrated marketing firm Freebairn & Company has added three new accounts—Alexis PlaySafe, Griffin and Skylight Financial—worth an estimated $7 million in capitalized billings.

At a time when many large companies—such as Agilent and Hewlett-Packard—are consolidating their public relations business with a single global agency, Freebairn director of public relations George Snyder says the wins provide evidence that many clients, including some that have worked with larger agencies, are looking for a different solution: mid-tier marketing firms who can provide broad communications solutions.

Snyder is especially pleased with the fact that all three accounts came via referral—one from an existing client, one from a former client executive, and one from a board member of the agency’s pro bono client—rather than competitive pitch.

Alexis PlaySafe selected Freebairn to develop national marketing campaigns for My Pool Pal swimwear products and for the launch of a new product line of infant giftware. Griffin, a supplier of crop and turf protection materials, will use the firm for marketing, public relations and interactive communications. And Freebairn will work with Skylight Financial, an Atlanta-based financial services company, to develop a national corporate marketing communications program.
